Payroll Specialist

About the Role:

Mollie Stone s Markets is looking for a Full Time Payroll / HR Professional to be an integral part of its Human Resources Department. This position will require a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to multitask and practice effective time management.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist with weekly payroll process.
  • Conduct weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly reporting and analysis.
  • Act as back up for payroll to cover vacation and/or sick days.
  • Responsible for maintaining the integrity of all information in the HRIS system.
  • Document, organize, update, audit and maintain human resources actions by completing necessary documents.
  • Provide administrative support to the Vice President of HR and Payroll.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Support HR team as required.
  • Ability to fulfill project execution and follow up.
  • Balance multiple priorities and work under pressure with established time constraints.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of Payroll experience.
  • Union Contract and Union Payroll Experience. (Required)
  • Advanced Excel computer skills, such as Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP
  • Local candidates only.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration.
  • HRCI or SHRM Certification.
  • Grocery/Retail/Hospitality experience preferred.

  • Ability to manage confidentiality with integrity.
  • Effective written and oral communication with strong attention to details.
  • Exceptional organization with strong ability to prioritize competing interests.
  • Strong ability to cooperate and work collaboratively towards solutions in a team environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to regularly lift at least 10 lbs.
  • Standing: Up to 2 hours per day
  • Seating: Up to 8 hours per day.
  • Walking: Up to 2 hours per day.
  • Reaching: Up to 2 hours per day.

Travel Requirements:

  • Independent and reliable local travel 5% of the time

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
