Senior Manager, Accounting

Description We are seeking a Senior Manager, Accounting, who is responsible for applying generally accepted accounting principles and procedures to plan, manage, and execute monthly close-related activities, analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financialreports and statements, ensure appropriate internal control procedures, while innovating to increase accuracy and reduce time-to-close. The Senior Manager, Accounting will be expected to exhibit the highest professional standards, ethical principles, and attention to detail while working on numerous routine and ad hoc accounting support functions. You will be integral to a growing accounting and finance team and need to be an enthusiastic and hands-on individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Manage the monthly close process, including maintenance of close calendars and checklists, review of journal entries, account reconciliations and analysis of results. Manage, coach and mentor a team that is responsible for cash, prepaid expenses, other assets, fixed assets, accruals, and expense classification. Perform accounting research and provide technical guidance, as needed, while facilitating the accounting team's commitment to timely and accurate processing of accounting transactions in accordance with GAAP/IFRS. Own the monthly consolidation, inter-company reconciliation, and oversee the relationships with outsourced service providers for our international locations. Liaise with FP&A and business partners to generate, record, reconcile, and maintain accrual balances and assist with monthly budget versus actual analyses. Support internal/external audits of the company's financial statements, including preparation of auditschedules and responding to auditor questions and requests. Develop and maintain documentation on internal controls, keeping a SOX state of mind. Proactively identify issues and areas for improvement within the close process and implement process improvements. Review, update and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with parent company and business unit policies. Perform other ad hoc projects and strategic analyses as directed by management.  Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting, business or finance, with CPApreferred 10+ years of accounting experience, with at least five years managing and three years at a Big 4 public accounting In depth GAAP knowledge with knowledge of IFRS a plus Public company experience, highly desired Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel and Word) Experience with Netsuite, a plus. Must have the ability to proactively and creatively approach problem solving in order to execute multiple tasks and adhere to strict deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment. Must have excellent critical thinking and time management skills, as well as strong written and oral communications skills, including the ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships across the organization. Must have strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
